Slow Life Movement Manifesto

You may have heard of the Slow Food Movement. which is part of a larger movement, the Slow Movement. To these movements I add my Slow Life Movement Manifesto:

In the speedy age of do more, have more, be more I Dare To:

1. Do less, be less efficient and enjoy what I do more
2. Eat less and make what I eat matter
3. Spend less, have less and appreciate it more
4. Work less and spend free hours doing something delightful
5. Drive less, take longer to get places and find pleasure along the way by walking or biking instead of driving to see the environment as I pass through
6. Connect slowly, talk to people in person instead of via technology
7. Read less to digest what I read
8. Watch grass (or other wonderful plants) grow
9. Push and pull less, allow and invite more
10. Be less to open to unfolding more

  1. Wow!! I love it! All except the read less, I always seem to have at least a dozen books I'd like to assimilate. That's one area I need to work on! Love you!

  2. Thank you Mom! This will be a learning for me as well. I have found great pleasure in reading slowly, contemplating as I go and letting it sink in.
